ABOUT

From a young age, I knew my path was to become a social worker. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work in 2006, followed by my Master of Social Work in 2019. My career has taken me through diverse areas of healthcare including emergency services, crisis intervention, intensive care, medical units, home care, addictions services and educational coordinator. In 2019, I shifted my focus to offering personalized, one-on-one therapy, supporting individuals on their unique healing journeys.
Throughout my education and career, I have dedicated significant focus to understanding the complexities of death, dying, grief and trauma, which has shaped my compassionate approach to supporting others. Grief is not something we get over but rather something we acknowledge, feel and process, shaping who we are as we learn to live alongside it.

I enjoy getting outside, being active and the beauty of the area I live in. A few of my favorite activities are weightlifting, backcountry hiking, kayaking and walking my dogs along the Red Deer River daily.

Practicing gratitude and mindfulness are practices that I try to implement daily. But, like many people, I still have to remind myself to use these tools often.
